Your 100 Day Challenge!!!

“They always say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.”  Andy Warhol

The good news is that today is your examination day.

Today is YOUR day for change and YOUR day to start to make a difference in your life.

Today is the day that you take action and start to really accelerate and move forward with your life.

Procrastination is not an option, your time has come to be decisive and take control of your life, build your ship, find your vision and horizon and set sail on your journey of life.

Your success is always in YOUR hands, Your are FREE from your first breath. If you do not have a plan then you are part of someone else’s plan!! Think about this for a moment...

Ask yourself...  Who is your best friend?

You may answer in many ways but in reality there is only one answer to this question... and that is that YOU...  YOU are your best friend!!!

Start to Invest in yourself, invest in your own personal development, you have to start to pay yourself first. And you have to save yourself before you can save anybody else!!!

There are four key elements of success and achievement. And these can be applied to any person or indeed any business.

1          Sales (you need to be able to generate money to live!!)

2          Accounting - You must develop your financial literacy

3          Investing - You must invest and you must invest in yourself

4          Leadership - Leadership of yourself and Leadership of others

But first you have to take action and take ownership and responsibility for who YOU are, where you are in life, and what you have or have and have not achieved.

Everybody has achieved something in their life they are proud of, we have all had moments where we are on a high and feel that we can reach the clouds. We have all been successful at times in our life, just not always as often as we would like.  The 100 Day Challenge starts to focus your mind and actions, the 100 Day Challenge starts to give you a framework of success in your chosen fields of achievement and builds a firm platform so that you can really achieve the goals that you aspire to.

From this point in time STOP blaming someone or something else. In reality it is you that is responsible. From this point forward, take full responsibility and ownership for your life, you are NOW in control of your own ship, you are the Captain of your own destiny, you are responsible for your next step and the following steps in life that you make.

Today is the day you take inventory of your life, your choices, your actions, and your results.

Are you really and truly ready to take ACTION?

Please think about this question, really clearly, be absolutely sure that you, want to become part of the 3% that take action, and that you want to start to take action and define your legacy.

If you are not sure, try this simple exercise...

Imagine yourself sitting in a chair on the last day of your life, with family, or friends, looking out of the window, whatever the ideal situation you would like to find yourself in.   Then ask yourself “What have I achieved? And what will I be remembered for. In effect start to write your legacy.  When you are doing this exercise, think about how you feel, your emotions, picture your goals as having been accomplished, how proud are you about your personal achievements?  What can you say “I did that?”  to....and so on.... build a mental, physical, spiritual and emotional picture in your mind’s eye of your completed life’s story.

Then take this simple ten point examination;

1.     Do you have a clear sense of where you are going and how you will get there?

2.     Are you living the life you imagined, or just going through the motions?

3.     Is your behaviour worth modelling? Does it inspire excellence?

4.     Have you been using the word NO to set boundaries so that you can focus on the bigger YES?

5.     Are your choices and actions taking you closer to your goals?

6.     What are your proudest accomplishments since the beginning of the year?

7.    Are you beginning each day with a written plan? If so, are you following it?

8.    Does your work and daily actions demonstrate a commitment to excellence?

9.    Are you doing everything you can to make this the best year of your life?

10.  If you passed today, would you be proud of the legacy you are leaving behind?

If after this you are still serious about action, then take the next step and start to build your team. Aim to work with some of the best people on the planet. No one achieves anything solely on their own. Everyone has a team behind them, even if this is just your family and friends.
But today YOU are going to start to BUILD your team, your team for success...
Join and commit yourself to the 100 Day Challenge. You will find this incredibly inspiring. Today s the day that you put a stake in the ground and start to turn a corner in your life.

"Dont judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant."
Robert Louis Stephenson..

To Your action and to your success!!!

“The wiley Scot had grown excited as he expounded the ideas that there should be a concrete ‘philosophy of success’ for the average person, drawn from the experiences of great achievers”  Tom Butler-Brown

When Carnegie asked Napoleon Hill to spend the next 20 years formulating this “Philosophy of success” Napoleon Hill took only 29 seconds to say “yes”…..

Investors and senior executives are looking for “the next big thing.”  The Investors are looking for great ideas led by great teams to bring innovation and excellence to the fore and to show the determination, drive and commitment to drive success. Within our complex world many people are vying for attention. The teams that stand out are the ones that deliver their pitch in less than a minute, and still make their points persuasive.
Unfortunately many teams do not think about their story and how it comes across, a great project with an ineffective pitch.  Do not make polite conversation; tell the story in a sentence.
The Four Steps to Success
There is a four step exercise that will work for any company or product. You must simply answer each of the following four questions in no more than two sentences:

1. What do you do?
2. What problem do you solve?
3. How is your product or service different?
4. Why should I care?

By keeping each answer brief, you will develop a succinct story that should take no more than 60 seconds.
Let's use the example of an entrepreneur who is starting a housekeeping franchise. Based on those four questions, the company's story might sound something like this:
"We own Five Star Cleaning, an eco-friendly housekeeping service that pampers you and your home [what your business does]. Typical cleaning services make you prep your home ahead of time, supervise to prevent theft and hang around for hours while the cleaners do their work. Because we require no prep, this saves time right off the top, and we are bonded so our service is worry-free, allowing you to go about your day [what problem does it solve]. And, we always send a minimum team of three to get the job done quickly [how it's different]. Imagine coming home from a long day and your laundry is all done, your bed has been turned down and there are fresh flowers awaiting you. That's the extra pampering we offer that sets us apart from all the rest [why you should care].
Your first sentence should be a "Twitter-friendly headline." You should be able to describe your product or service in 140 characters or less, short enough for a tweet. Create product descriptions that are short, catchy, distinctive and memorable.
If you can tell your story in well under 60 seconds and have some extra time, be ready to relate an example or story that makes your product or service more tangible..
Don't let your idea die because you've lost the attention of your audience. Grab your listeners in the first 60 seconds and they'll want to hear more.

The Five Steps to Effective Delegation

The Five Steps to Effective Delegation

No person works on their own.  Everyone works with a team or in a team, both professionally and in their private lives.

When building a Team you always need to work with the very best people that you can attract. When leading a team you need to show clear leadership and at all times you need to decide if you are working ON your business or IN your business!!

If you are working in YOUR business YOU are doing the work, if YOU are Woking On your business you are leading and motivating a team. In order to lead and motivate a team you need to master teh art and science of delegation.

There are FIVE STEPS to effective delegation and supervision that will guarantee that your expectations are met with success and the results are achieved.

Step One
The first step in delegation is to become perfectly clear about the results that you desire from the job. The greater clarity you have with regard to the results expected, the easier it is for you to select the right person to do the job.

Step Two
The second step is to select a person based on his or her demonstrated ability or success at doing this job. Never delegate an important job to a person who has never done it before. If the successful completion of the task is important to the success of your business, it is essential that you delegate it to someone who you confidently believe can complete the task satisfactorily.

Step Three

Third, explain to the person exactly what you want done, the results that you expect, the time schedule that you require, and your preferred method of working. The reason that you are in a position to delegate a task is because you have probably already mastered this task. Taking the time to teach and explain the best way to do the task based on your experience is an excellent way to ensure that the task will be done as you wish and on schedule.

Step Four
Step four is to set up a schedule for reporting on progress. If it is an important task, set up a deadline for completion that is a day or a week before your actual deadline. Always build some slack into the system. Then, check on the progress of the task regularly, very much like a doctor would check on the condition of a critical care patient. Leave nothing to chance.
Step Five
Step five, inspect what you expect. Delegation is not abdication. Just because you have assigned a task to another person does not mean that you are no longer accountable. And the more important the task, the more important it is that you keep on top of it.
Action Exercise
1             look at yourself and ask yourself honestly. Are you working In your business,  ie being an employee, and doing the task at hand, or are you working ON your business and delegating tasks to others more able and capable?

2             We all have targets to achieve.  Work out the value of your target for each hour that you work.  If your hourly target rate is say £2500 per hpur, do not do any task that in your mind has a value less than this? Delegate the “Ten-bob-jobs!”
3             What tasks and activities can you effectively delegate you someone else? Which one of your team or virtual team can handle the task more effectively?
What task can you effectively delegate to someone else? Which one of your employees can handle the task efficiently?
Remember...  To learn to master a skill, you need to do one thing 4000 times
and not 4000 things once!!!

Begin to master this in order to grow into being a great leader,
Always lead with Integrity and in line with your values, ethics and principles

“The 4000 Times Rule”

Large organisations are very good at doing 4000 things once!!

The trick is to do one thing 4000 times

Success is borne out of repetition, repetition is borne from determination.
1% of the people on the planet own 36% of all the wealth. 1% of the people on the planet create all the opportunity for the rest.... Why?
It is simple.... they are not superhuman, they do not possess magical abilities, they are not bestowed with luck beyond belief, it is just that they have learnt and master the art of success, by developing their own unique version, by identifying a small number of key and core tasks that for them build success...and then being pigheaded and determined enough to hone and craft these key skill areas through constant repetition until they get it right and the pieces of the jigsaw start to fall into place... ie doing a relatively small number of critical actions 4000 times!!!
We fall down in life, so that we can learn to get back up!!  Those that do not get back up, are destined for mediocrity and failure, whilst those that keep getting up are charting their course for success.
Remember successful people are successful for one reason and one reason only...  they have failed more times than everyone else, BUT every single time they have got back up, dusted themselves off, learnt the reasons for failure and then got right back on with the task at hand.

Remember this quote

“A ship is safest in harbours, but that’s not what they were built to do..”

As human beings we were not designed to live in boxes and drive sofas whilst watching TV!!   The world is an amazing place and it is filled with amazing people and many of these people are working in your organisation right now!!!  Go and find them and bring them into your teams.. and build your success!!
Aim to be in the top 20% of your team. Then aim to be in the top 20% of that top 20%...that will put you in the top 4%!!!  Then the hardest step of all...aim to be in the top 1%!!!

Continuous effort - not strength or intelligence - is the key to unlocking our potential."

Winston Churchill
